named after the state flower of Minnesota, Ladyslipper is a chamber music collective of musicians in the greater Twin Cities. We are friends who come together to present programs that are soulful and bring beauty to the community. Our artists perform with Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra and Minnesota Opera Orchestra, and teach at universities and colleges in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

“Once upon a time baroque music meant Bach, Handel, Vivaldi and little else. No longer — the excavation of the period continues, throwing reams of previously unfamiliar music into the laps of curious concertgoers. The St. Paul-based Ladyslipper Ensemble is a specialist in this area.”

-THE STAR TRIBUNE

“The recording, made at Maud Moon Weyerhaeuser Studio, Minnesota Public Radio in St. Paul, is excellent. It has a natural, lifelike ambience, evoking the atmosphere of a first-rate smaller concert hall. Varied and engaging repertoire, beautifully performed and recorded, and therefore, recommended.”

Music speaks for itself and when people hear it, it inspires them to think about things..... Good art always does that!”
